On May, 25, 2017 the Vernissage of famous Russian and foreign artists was opened in the Press Center of the State Complex "Palace of Congresses". Ivo Lill, Kristine Myhre Johnsen, Andrea Christina Wevers Pettersen, Igor Cholaria, Anvar Bakhteev, Stas Blinov, Yuri Zharkikh, Aleksander Kondurov, Alexander Nikolenko and Anna Vinogradova presented their pieces of art.
The event was held within the first International Cultural Festival "Victoria Regia - 2017" (The ICF).
Before watching works of art, guests visited an opening ceremony, where they were welcomed by organizers. All speakers unanimously underlined meaningfulness of festival as an international bridge through which intercultural communication occurs, and also noted that the event remained out of politics. Among the participants there were artists not only from Russia - many foreign guests did not afraid of distances and arrived at the Vernissage from afar.
The opening ceremony was attended by the special guests of the Festival - Mr. Philippe Couperie- Eiffel, grandson of the famous creator of the Eiffel Tower - Gustave Eiffel, well-known philanthropist - Mrs. Carine Lawton Peugeot, President of the Association de Amis de Gustave Eiffel - Mrs. Daniela Carneiro Fuentes. Mr. Eiffel expressed his gratefulness for the invitation to the Festival and spoke about high importance and significance of the French-Russian cultural relations.
The presentation of the Festival was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
